My friends in D.C. are photography connoisseurs. They value professional photography framed and printed on the wall so that they can enjoy and build upon family memories daily. Their favorite family photographer in the area moved to California and as supportive friends they brought me out to document life with a toddler and a newborn. Since I’m here for four days I thought I would explore the different ways to photograph a family. Session one is more of soft portraits of a newborn. Session two is family time in the park. Session three is nitty gritty documentary style shots of pancake making, bathtime and bedtime. Session four is more of a classic black and white session of a naked newborn. Below is session one where I focused on soft window light and the stillness of a sleeping baby.
