The energy of this wedding was electric. Hundreds of St. Patty goers flooded the streets and as Christy and Bob walked the lobby of their hotel people cheered and hollered. It was a bold decision to have a wedding on a rather rowdy holiday, but it really added to the fun of Christy and Bob’s wedding.
Chritsy and Bob have an enviable relationship, they share abundant affection, relish in storytelling, and really seem to support one another. They also share many of the same interests. One of them being trivia–after the toasts were made and dinner finished they had rounds of trivia and prizes for their guests. The entire wedding was really thoughtful and handmade, it was a photographer’s dream. As a photographer I find photographing the details an important part of the wedding story, however what will matter most 20 years down the road are the images of guests laughing, tearful toasts being made, vows exchanged, and all the subtle loving glances in between.
The last few photos are from an impromptu photobooth devised by Christy and I. I have done this at several weddings and it seems to be a big hit as it allows guests to get silly and be documented in their dressy attire.
